Chimp Might Not Be Chump In Poker
01
August
Only in America. I swear we should start a post category for it… for now… WTF will have to suffice. Any way, I digress. There are more than a couple of us in the house that are partial to the odd game of poker. Now it seems, that our own MonkeyBoy and his family have jumped aboard the bandwagen. (Check out the family resemblance, MonekyBoy here… Mikey below).

Now, this is the latest news from the world of professional poker. I swear I’m not making this up. The poker site PokerShare.com is being touted as the first company to enter a chimpanzee in the the August tournaments of the World Series of Poker.
That’s right… a chimpanzee!
Unlikely as it may seem that WSOP would consider such a distraction (unless it’s in on the stunt) the word is that PokerShare intends to enter a chimp called Mikey into the main event at WSOP. Adding to the hype, the animal has apparently been given an intensive course in poker playing over the past few months.
Well, I’m speechless… but left wondering. Who would win a showdown between a goat and the monkey. Heres hoping the chimp doesn’t get 4 7’s!!!
This one comes from Pete Mcentegart’s 10 Spot at SI.com via SignOnSanDiego.

Daydreamer, do you think you’d be able to take out the monkey in a heads-up battle???

Not only can we “Monkeys” play poker, we can drink a heap too. Check out the picture - there is evidence enough that I was drunk on this kissing occasion……but then again, monkeys aren’t humans, right?

What a bizzare experiment this would be! I think we would all be better poker players if the concept of money has no value. Force this damn chimp to bet in bananas and we’ll see who comes up trumps…chumps!!!
4 7s!!!!!!!!!oooooooh, still hurts.
