Unfortunately, I happened to miss Nike Savvas’ exhibition Atomic: full of love, full of wonder. Probably because I don’t really care too much for art. Still hasn’t stopped me talking about how I absolutely must go to see the Picasso exhibition on at the NGV right now. Anyway, I stumbled across this image while searching for something else and was struck by its visual effect. Apparently, it was even more striking ‘in the flesh’, when a few industrial fans were applied to create a ripple effect through the balls.

You’re probably thinking right now that the image looks really familiar, like something you might have seen on television? Perhaps the Sony Bravia ad? Wish I could say I was the first to draw this comparison but it seems I’m three months too late.
