I cursed and screamed like a spoilt little brat last night when I went to have a shower at the end of the day and discovered there was no hot water! I couldn’t believe that at a time when I wanted to wind down and have a rejuventing hot shower, I couldn’t.
I thankfully gained some perspective this morning. I can’t say that I will never take things for granted again but I am trying…

As I sit in an Apollo Bay internet cafe with Paul Kelly’s classic “From Little Things Big Things Grow” playing in the background it is, for me anyway, a timely reminder… “bad things happen when good people do nothing”.
Wear the wrist band (BTW… kudos to Donnie for getting on board), watch the video, hassle your local member of parliament (especially with the G20 in Melbourne this year)…

It may be due to the fact that I am rendered hostage to my pregnancy hormones that are making me eternally tearful, but my God! That was so sad I am still crying. It sure helps you to put into perspective just how lucky we are and that there are so many things we can do, small or large, to help.
