So, six months has passed since my self-imposed exile. Since I last posted I have been on an incredible ride, not always positive but never disastrous. Real life stepped in and demanded my full attention meaning the house, and all the curious joy it brought me, had to be temporarily neglected.
So what has brought Oz back into the blogosphere? This…

Given Melbourne’s drought plight over summer, the humour of the photo stuck with me. So it was with a certain amount of curiosity on a walk through one of Melbourne’s shopping centres that I spied this sad sight…

The drought in this state is so bad, the little bastards are making their way inside in search of water. The stones may look like the bottom of a fish tank but I guarantee not a drop of water was to be found within this clothing store. Poor little buggers. They must have been delerious.
And so I put out the call to beezhouse readers (what little remain after months of inactivity): send me photos of ‘fish out of water’ in interesting locations. Nothing contrived, just natural occurrences. I’ll negociate with the daydreamer and perhaps we’ll even have a separate gallery for our suffering friends. As usual, all correspondence can be sent to oz{at}beezhouse{dot}com… not that any of you will actually use it but you never know.
p.s: Donnie’s probably gonna crack the shits cos I hotlinked the picture from his site. While hotlinking is evil and the start of many truly evil personality flaws like drug usage and murderous desire, I figured it was acceptable because I couldn’t be fucked uploading the picture to the servers and I’ve been cooking soup for the last three hours. Oh, and Donnie’s an author on this site - that makes him fair game.
update (one day later): I have an awful headache and am cooking soup yet again. Because I am fearful of a chinglish/engrish tirade from Donnie, I have now stolen the image from his site. Prenty solly and prease enjoy Hong Kong!
