Hmmm, almost a month without a post. Guess that requires a lame filler to kick-start the month.

Ever since I bought my new computer, I’ve been on a software download binge. Carbon Copy Cloner has become my new best friend, even with Time Machine (still don’t completely trust it). Currently I’m wondering if I should spend $32 to register a copy of Radioshift - Macman (of Green Guide fame) recently called it the current ‘must have’ app and my father swears by it, but I don’t see myself listening to day-old Canadiens games. For us mac users who aren’t as tech savvy and have a whole lot of .avi files that Quicktime can’t play, VLC is a ‘must have’ (more so than radioshift) app. I can finally watch every episode of The Trap Door I was given by a Windex friend.

But for those with a widget fetish, and I’m half on the way to having one, I stumbled across this fantastic little site called iSlayer.com. Amongst all the goodies onsite for both Big Cat users and Windex fumblers, is the sexy little iStat Pro widget. It can tell you heaps of useless information about how your computer is operating, from how hot your CPU’s are running through to the number of charge cycles your battery has seen.

Yeah! Giving my macbook pro some nerd cred!
