I am always on the look out for interesting web2.0 apps, so when I saw this one (still in beta), I had to give it a try purely out of curiosity of the “photo/face scanning” technology. I can’t say that I am completely impressed with the results. Looks like I will have to get up to date with the Canto pop, J-pop and K-pop scene to find out who some of these guys are. Unless you’re from Australia and an Australian Idol fan, you probably won’t have a clue what the title of this post is about and why I’ve posted a video of a David Bowie, Freddie Mercury and Sideshow Bob mash up. Before everyone in the Beezhouse sanctum decides to berate the hell out of me for posting about Australian Idol, I would like to point out that up until this year I too was a strong critic of AI. It was at best a half-assed karaoke competition that produced singers with little appeal to my taste and in my opinion did no justice to some of the outstanding musical talent from our big brown land.
