Unless you’re from Australia and an Australian Idol fan, you probably won’t have a clue what the title of this post is about and why I’ve posted a video of a David Bowie, Freddie Mercury and Sideshow Bob mash up. Before everyone in the Beezhouse sanctum decides to berate the hell out of me for posting about Australian Idol, I would like to point out that up until this year I too was a strong critic of AI. It was at best a half-assed karaoke competition that produced singers with little appeal to my taste and in my opinion did no justice to some of the outstanding musical talent from our big brown land. I would love to say that beezhouse just got the scoop before everyone on a new Coldplay album but that would be outright lying and somewhat hopeful (there are more than a few Coldplay fans at the beezhouse), but the title got your attention didn’t it (if of course you are a fan).

Anyway, the news has got out that yours truly will become a Daddy Goat sometime early next year (No - we will not be naming him or her Apple!) but in preparation for the arrival of a baby Goat, I decided to prepare myself for all the goo-goo, gah-gah stuff that would inevitably come with fatherhood.

Let me just say that this Goat is very excited about the blob but after thinking about the amount of children’s entertainment one has to painfully endure, I was determined not to fall into the same trap and find myself one morning humming to the frickin’ Wiggles or Hi-5. Aside from personally kicking the shit out of these bands, I think I may have found a temporary solution.
